I forgot to add to my last post about smoothies that sometimes I put some coconut oil in my smoothie!  haha  The first time I did it I didn't like it at first.  By the end of the smoothie I was used to it and thought it was pretty yummy!  Don't forget coconut oil is safe to have  a table spoon or two a day!  So why not consume it in a yummy smoothie!

Soooo, last night I made smoothies again. I tried adding broccoli AND coconut oil. It was so good! The coconut oil mixed with the shredded coconut made it taste like a tropical drink - with no hint of broccoli. I used a frozen bag that was mainly a bunch of stalks. I usually just buy the frozen florets but go figure WM was out. The bag has been sitting in my freezer for a few weeks so this was perfect. Since the broccoli and the berries were frozen, I didn't add any ice. Here's what the final smoothie consisted of:

yogurt, frozen berries, frozen broccoli (mostly stalks), shredded coconut, coconut oil, juice, milk

J said it was my best smoothie yet :)

So glad it was good. Now I know I should some. I have some frozen broccoli that needs to be used. Maybe I'll try it and let you know how it goes. I hate real coconut so the coconut oil is what I like. :)
