Kids Crafts

My boy LOVES making things. However, his definition of make things is WATCHING mommy make stuff for him.  The other day he was DYING to make something from Nick Jr.  They have TONS of free printable and crafts and he will spend an hour just looking through all of it on the Internet.  I told him sure and then after he had been looking for a while I remembered we were out of ink on our printer.  Most of the crafts require you to print something and he was not happy.  His bottom lip started to stick out and the tears started to form in his eyes and it was about 30 minutes to nap time ( which really isn't enough time to craft! )  So I told him maybe we could find a Halloween craft on the Internet that didn't require us to print something.  We found something right about nap time so I promised him while he was sleeping I would make it for him.  He loved it.  What you do is cut out the shape of a pumpkin on construction paper.  Then you get black construction paper and cut out different face parts; nose, mouth, eyes, eye brows...anything you can think of.  I made 3 different mouths, a couple sets of eyes and 3 or 4 noses.  Then I took cheap magnets I had bought from the dollar section at Walmart and cut them up and hot glued them to the facial parts.  Then you can either put this on the refrigerator.  We have a small magnet board so I put it on there.  Then they can have fun changes the pumpkins face as much as they want.

Anyone else having trouble with blogger turning pictures side ways that aren't supposed to be sideways? This is the 3rd or 4th time this week it has done that to me and I can NOT figure out how to fix it. I even deleted the picture and reloaded it. The picture isn't cropped at all either. Boooooooo

Any ways. Both of my kids enjoyed this craft and have been having fun changing the faces of the pumpkin.

It would be fun to make a smaller version to take to church. A lot of kids in my ward need something much quieter to play with. Haha!
